Can you imagine using this word to tell someone that they are sexually attractive? I think that it would go something like this:
"Hey, man, you're looking awfully toothsome today. Wanna go back to my place and eat some toothsome pie?" says the lady.
"Thank you. Although your offer is toothsome, I can't because I am due at the Post Office. I have a package to mail." says the sexy man.
One word that I will continue to never use:
toothsome \TOOTH-suhm\, adjective:
1. Pleasing to the taste; delicious; as, "a toothsome pie."
2. Agreeable; attractive; as, "a toothsome offer."
3. Sexually attractive.
Yeah - dumb word unless maybe you're a dentist!
